The U-High Girls Golf Team will play the front 9 first.  Tee times are as follows:

TIME: 

7:55 AM – Coaches/observers meeting in clubhouse

8:30 AM – Play begins - players given instructions 10 minutes before tee time

DIRECTIONS TO COURSE - From Route 9 west: 

After crossing Pekin Bridge, follow Rt. 9 to Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway.  Follow Broadway to stoplight at Parkway Drive(Marathon station, Herget Bank, Parkview Golf course).  Turn left(north) on Parkway Drive.  Follow Parkway Drive to the course.

RANGE BALLS:   small - $3; medium – $4.75; large - $7

OBSERVERS:

All schools will be required to have a coach or faculty representative present and available for assignment.  Local individuals may also be used as observers.

FOOD: 

The snack shop will be open all day; breakfasts are available as well as sandwiches and drinks, all at reasonable prices.

CARTS: 

Coaches who are observers will be furnished a cart free of charge on tournament day.  Spectator carts will be $25.00.

Sectional Site Practice Times

We have tentatively scheduled a practice round at Lick Creek Golf Course for Sunday afternoon.  Tee times are 1:38 and 1:54, but the course manager is willing to work with us to let the groups go out back-to-back.

We will discuss our options at practice on Friday and come to a final decision regarding our plans for the weekend.

Regional CHAMPS!!!!!

The U-High Girls Golf Team won the 2010 Champaign Central Class 2A Regional at the U of I Blue Course in Savoy on Wednsday, October 6.  Led by 2nd place finisher Sheinerra Gerongay, the Lady Pioneers finished 10 strokes ahead of their closest competitor. Congratulations girls!

Saturday, October 2 - Corn Belt Results

On one of the windiest days of the season, the U-High Girls Golf Team finished in second place in the 2010 Corn Belt Conference golf tournament.  The Lady Pioneers trailed only Mahomet-Seymour, falling 2 strokes short of the title.  Sophomore Sheinerra Gerongay led the way, firing a 90 to claim individual medalist honors.

It was a rough day at the Pekin Invite, with the cool temps and the breezy conditions that ended in rain drops. But we managed to finish 2^nd with a 378 total and 3 players in the top 10 in scoring.

According to the IHSA website, we are assigned to the Champaign Central Regional at the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS - BLUE COURSE in Savor/Champaign along with Bloomington, Champaign Centennial, Champaign Central, Charleston, Decatur Eisenhower, Lincoln, Mahomet-Seymour, Mattoon, Mt. Zion, Normal West, and Normal Community.

Our regional is assigned to the Pekin Sectional, which will be held at LICK CREEK GC in Pekin. The regionals from Edwardsville, Mascoutah, and Galesburg also feed into our Sectional.

Tuesday, September 21 - Varsity Results

Due to severe lightning, the triangular match with Peoria Notre Dame and Galesburg was not completed tonight.

Monday, September 20 - Varsity Results

The Lady Pioneers posted their lowest 9-hole total of the season in claiming first place in the 4-team match.  Ashely Beverage posted a career low 39 to claim medalist honors, followed closely be Sheinerra Gerongay with a 40.  Congrats girls!
